Shrimp Satay Recipe
Ingredients
- 500 g medium-sized shrimp
- 2 pieces lime, juice extracted
- 3 thinly sliced lime leaves
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- Salt to taste
- Adequate butter
- Adequate water
Ground Spices:
- 6 curly red chilies
- 3 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 cm ginger
Instructions
- Clean the shrimp by splitting the back, then soak them in lime juice for approximately 15 minutes.
- Grind all the ground spices and sauté with a bit of butter. Sauté until fragrant, then add coriander, pepper, sweet soy sauce, lime leaves, oyster sauce, honey, salt, and water. Stir until the liquid reduces.
- Marinate the shrimp with the sautéed seasoning for 30 minutes. Afterward, skewer the shrimp onto satay sticks for grilling.
- Prepare grilling equipment and grill the shrimp over charcoal. Occasionally baste the shrimp with the prepared marinade. Add a little butter if necessary.
- Once cooked, serve the shrimp satay with chili sauce and lime.
