Ingredients

Base
  • 90 g Oreos
  • 35 g unsalted butter melted
  • Whipped Cream
  • 250 g heavy cream
  • 15 g granulated sugar
  • First Layer
  • 50 g bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 100 g milk
  • 5 g gelatin softened
  • Second Layer
  • 50 g white chocolate chips
  • 100 g milk
  • 5 g gelatin softened
Topping
  • Powdered sugar
  • Cocoa powder
  • Mint leaves

Instructions

  • Wrap the mousse molds bottom with plastic wrap to avoid leaking. Grab 90g Oreos and separate biscuit and filling. Crush the biscuits finely and transfer to a clean bowl, add in melted butter and mix well. Pour in the mousse molds and press down firmly. Keep it cool in the fridge.
  • In a clean bowl, bring together chocolate chips, hot milk and softened gelatin, mix well. In another bowl, bring together heavy cream and sugar and beat until thickened. Take half of the whipped cream to mix well with chocolate mixture. Fill the mousse molds half full and chill them for 30 minutes (until set). Keep the whipped cream in the fridge to cool.
  • In another bowl, bring together white chocolate chips, hot milk and softened gelatin, mix well. Add the mixture into rest of the whipped cream and mix well. Fill the mousse molds with the mixture and let them set in the fridge to chill for 20 minutes (until set).
  • Thaw and remove the mousse molds and dust them with a layer of powdered sugar and a layer of cocoa powder. Garnish them with some mint leaves and serve.

Notes

  • Quality of Chocolate: Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Whipping the Cream: Ensure the cream is whipped to soft peaks for a light and airy texture.
  • Gentle Folding: Carefully fold the chocolate into the whipped cream to maintain the mousse’s fluffiness.
  • Chilling Time: Allow sufficient chilling time for the mousse to set properly.
  • Serving Suggestions: Garnish with grated chocolate, fresh berries, or a sprig of mint for an elegant finish.
